Edmonds
Changes under way in city’s engineering division
Edmonds is still without a city engineer, but a shift inside City Hall could help the engineering division operate more efficiently.
Mayor Gary Haakenson has moved the engineering division under the umbrella of the Edmonds Public Works Department.
An internal review by city officials showed the engineering division to fit better with public works than with the Development Services Department, the division’s former home.
Public works director Noel Miller is expected to serve as the interim city engineer until the position is filled.
