Kamiak golfer leads Class 4A boys state tournament

BURLINGTON — Reid Martin, a junior from Kamiak High School, was the early leader Tuesday in the first round of the Class 4A state boys golf tournament at Avalon Golf Club.

Martin shot a 70 for a one-shot lead over Ricky McDonald, a junior from Edmonds-Woodway. Chris Olmstead of Rogers was third at 72.

Of the 80 golfers scheduled to compete, 51 have completed the first round.
