Kamiak’s Moon third at girls 4A state golf tournament

BELLINGAHAM — Defending state champion Seo Hee Moon of Kamiak High School shot a 6-over-par 78 Wednesday to finish in a tie for third at the Class 4A girls state golf tournament at Sudden Valley Golf and Country Club.
Sadena Parks of Bethel won the state title with an even-par 142. She shot a 5-under 67 in the final round.
Kamiak, which was trying to defend the team title the Knights won last year, finished third in the team standings. Redmond won the championship, edging Bethel 79-74. Kamiak finished with 66.5 points.
