Herculean effort

What is it about Hercules? Two 1960s flicks featuring Hercules, the ancient cult hero, play today on Turner Classic Movies. Both score high on the awful-but-mesmerizing movie scale.
“Hercules, Samson &Ulysses” stars oddly-monikered-for-an-Italian-actor Kirk Morris at 1:45 p.m.
“Terror of Rome Against Son of Hercules” follows at 3:15 p.m., featuring Mark Forest.
