RENTON — Seattle Seahawks right tackle Sean Locklear is out with a sprained left knee, coach Mike Holmgren said Monday.

Locklear suffered the injury Saturday in the team’s 29-26 preseason victory over the Chicago Bears. Ray Willis has replaced Locklear on the Seahawks’ No. 1 offensive unit.

Holmgren said he hopes Locklear will be back in time for the regular-season opener on Sept. 7 at Buffalo, but added the recovery time may take longer.
