RENTON — The Seattle Seahawks took advantage of their first full day at their new practice facility Monday morning, halting the outdoor practice session and moving indoors.
With gray skies overhead and the possibility of a storm moving in, the Seahawks decided to move the practice into the spacious indoor facility, which is being used for the first time.
Among the players who took part in the start of practice was center Chris Spencer, who has not been on the field since the end of the 2007 season. He missed the summer following shoulder surgery, then hurt his back in the days leading up to training camp.
Steve Vallos has been working at center with the No. 1 offense, but Spencer is expected to eventually regain his starting job.
