RENTON — The Seattle Seahawks breathed a sigh of relief after finding out that middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu’s knee injury showed no ligament damage. Coach Mike Holmgren said that Tatupu suffered a bruised bone in his knee during Monday’s preseason loss to the San Diego Chargers.
Tatupu did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, and he probably won’t play in Friday’s preseason finale. But Holmgren said that the Pro Bowl middle linebacker should be back on the field next week and ready for the Sept. 7 regular-season opener.
