Reasons for football fans to feel good

Finally, some good news on the football field. First, the Seahawks should have several key players available Sunday, possibly including Koren Robinson.
Robinson has been slowed a bit in practice by a bum knee and trouble adjusting to the suit of armor the team’s health insurance company now requires on all wide receivers.
Secondly, WSU is heavily favored to earn its first win today against Portland State, which doesn’t even play in a major-college conference.
If this doesn’t work out, there’s still hope. The Cougs have upcoming games against Pullman High School and the Everett Huskies pee-wee league team.
And third, things are looking up at the UW. The Dawgs have at least a 50-50 shot this week against BYE.
Meanwhile, a new version of Budweiser is hitting the market. The beer, called American Ale, is intended to appeal to higher-end beer drinkers — at least until they figure out that it tastes like Budweiser.
But, the more, the better. The way things are going, beer might be the only way to get through football season.
