Motorcyclist ends up in hospital

A man was hospitalized after his motorcycle ended up underneath a car Tuesday afternoon.

Police and medics were called to the intersection of Highway 526 and 40th Avenue W. about 3:15 p.m., Mukilteo Police Cmdr. Chuck Macklin said.

He said the motorcycle collided with a car that pulled out in front of it on 40th Avenue W. The motorcycle ended up underneath the other vehicle because the driver apparently laid it down, Macklin said.

The man was taken to a hospital with a leg injury. Macklin said he was conscious and alert after the crash.

Nobody else was hurt and the scene was cleared in less than an hour. Police are investigating, Macklin said.
