Oso — Fire destroyed a barn Sunday in Oso, causing about $75,000 damage.
The Sunday afternoon blaze in the 25100 block of Highway 530 likely was started when a hot lawn mower ignited hay bales, Snohomish County Fire District 25 Chief Sandra Baker said.
The fire destroyed two boats, two snowmobiles and a large amount of hay.
It took crews several hours to extinguish the blaze, Baker said.
Crews from Arlington Heights Fire Department assisted. The Snohomish County fire marshal is investigating. No one was hurt.
