RENTON _ Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said that wide recevier Deion Branch will start in his first game of the season Sunday.

Branch, who has not played since undergoing knee surgery in February, has been practicing for a few weeks and is expected to make his debut against the New York Giants.

Bobby Engram is also expected to make his season debut as a slot receiver.

Holmgren said that either Keary Colbert or Billy McMullen will start with Branch.

Koren Robinson is unlikely to play because of a minor knee injury. Holmgren said he does not want to make the injury more severe by putting Robinson on the field Sunday.
