EVERETT — A man gave himself up after police surrounded his house Friday afternoon.
Police arrested the 40-year-old Everett man outside his house in the 5100 block of Seahurst Avenue, Everett Police Department Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
The man surrendered around 6 p.m.
Goetz said a SWAT team had been called because of the man’s criminal history.
He is a suspect in a robbery and a burglary that occurred in Everett on Friday morning, Goetz said.
Police ordered the man to put his hands up, walk slowly backward and then get on the ground before he was handcuffed.
Neighbor Colleen Crawford said she’d never seen anything like that before.
“It’s scary,” Crawford said.
