Holmgren hopeful Hasselbeck will play Sunday

TAMPA, Fla. — After Sunday night’s 20-10 loss to Tampa Bay, Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said he still believes help could be on the way.

Holmgren said that quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who has missed two consecutive games due to a bulging disk in his back, has a chance of playing in next Sunday’s game at San Francisco.

“I hope he’s back,” Holmgren said late Sunday night. “There’s a chance he could be back for San Francisco, and that’s where it sits.”

Without Hasselbeck, the Seahawks have gone 0-2 and had a combined 156 passing yards.
