EVERETT — A car rolled down a 50-foot embankment Friday evening, landing on its wheels a foot away from a mobile home.
Medics were called to the scene at 128th Street SW west of Eighth Avenue W. at about 6:30 p.m., Snohomish County Fire District 1 Battalion Chief Scott Schroeder said.
The vehicle was going eastbound on 128th Street SW when it veered off the roadway, nearly striking a pedestrian, and travelled some 50 feet down the brush-covered slope, Schroeder said.
He said the car rolled over at least once, but ended up back on its wheels literally a foot away from a mobile home.
The driver, who is a female in her 40s, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Schroeder said.
No one else was hurt.
The driver was possibly reaching for something in her car before the vehicle went down the embankment, Schroeder said.
