Tell us about tree farms for our list
The Herald seeks submissions for its annual Christmas tree farm list.
If you have a farm that is new to Snohomish County, send your contact information, the farm’s name, hours and dates of operation, address and driving directions, phone number, Web site and tree varieties to The Herald, attn: Features, Andrea McInnis, P.O. Expect holiday closures Tuesday
Tuesday is Veteran’s Day. Here are some resulting closures:
@1. Body FYI Bullet:Government: Federal, state and local offices are closed.
Schools: Closed.
Post offices: Closed, although Express Mail service continues.
Commerce: Most banks are closed.
Transportation: Everett Transit, Community Transit, Dial-a-Ride and Washington State Ferries are all on regular schedules.

Animal shelter closes Wednesday
The Everett Animal Shelter will be closed Wednesday for a training for staff members.
The shelter will reopen at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Border could be busy Tuesday
U.S. Customs and Border Protection reminds drivers planning trips across the border into the United States to anticipate possible heavy traffic Tuesday during the observance of Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day on this side of the border.

Ways to Give lets readers know about the charitable groups that need help to do their work during the holiday season.
We need: the name of your organization; what services you provide; hours and address; a phone number to be included in the listing and a phone number for confirmation; and what items, services or volunteer help you need.
