Employers from aerospace, government, security and other sectors will be on hand. Job seekers should bring copies of their resumes and come ready for an interview.

Free parking for the job fair is available in the lot at 10th Street and Broadway, with a shuttle to campus. Job fair parking is not allowed on EvCC’s main campus.

Volunteers needed, rain or shine

There are two opportunities to work outdoors the next two Saturdays.

Volunteers are needed to plant native trees from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Union Slough restoration site south of Marysville and Nov. 22 on Jetty Island in Everett.

People for Puget Sound, Everett Parks and Recreation, the Port of Everett and Snohomish County Stewards bring the tools and trees.

Register by calling 360-336-1931.

Wienermobile comes to town

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is heading for Snohomish and Lake Stevens.

See the rig from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 20 at TOP Food and Drug, 1301 Ave. D in Snohomish, and from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 20 at Haggen Food and Pharmacy, 8915 Market Place NE, Lake Stevens.

The Wienermobile weighs the equivalent of 1 million hot dogs and has room for six people who ride in mustard- and ketchup-colored seats.

Tell us how you top your tree

Do you have a beloved Christmas tree topper you’ve used every year for ages? Is it an elegant angel, a special Santa or something else? We’d like to hear about local families’ tree toppers for a Home &Garden story set to run in December.

Send your stories of tree-topper traditions to Sarah Jackson at sjackson@heraldnet.com. Please include a description of the tree topper and attach a digital photograph, if possible, too. Call 425-339-3037 if you have questions.
