When you hit one, you must stop, help

On Christmas Eve my family and I read the letter, “Show some respect to pedestrians.” Then we witnessed a truck running into a lady in a crosswalk. The woman went flying in the air, then slid 5-6 feet across the ice.
All the man did was to stick his head out the window and ask if she was all right. Then he drove off. Luckily, the woman was not really hurt. But sir, you should have gotten your butt out of your truck and helped the lady back home. After seeing the man drive off, I called 911. The officer did your job and made sure she was really all right and that she got home safely.
Shame on you! What would you do if it was your mother? You would want to kill that man for just leaving her there. So you need to turn yourself in and say you’re sorry.
Others out there need to remember that pedestrians have the right-of-way. So, when the weather is difficult, you need to slow down and think a little more so that the next pedestrian doesn’t end up in the obit section.
