Tips head north

The Tips headed out at noon today for their games Wednesday in Kamloops and Friday in Kelowna. Those two play tonight in Kamloops, so the team will be able to do a little scouting. As the team was loading up the bus everyone seemed a little less on edge, thanks to the Tips snapping their eight-game losing streak with their 5-0 victory at Portland on Saturday.
Just a couple quick tidbits today. First, defenseman Chris de la Lande remains day-to-day with his groin strain. De la Lande was supposed to return last weekend, but was unable to play. Tips coach John Becanic said de la Lande will probably be day-to-day the rest of the season.
Also, Shane Harper’s second goal Saturday was the 50th of his Everett career, making him just the third Tip to eclipse that mark, joining Zach Hamill and Kyle Beach.
