More on Campbell Elynuik

OK, here’s the scoop on Campbell Elynuik. The 16-year-old forward is just spending the week with the Tips. He became available because his midget team, the Calgary Royals of the AMHL, finished first in its division and thus earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs. But he’ll return home after Saturday’s game.
Elynuik isn’t here just to observe. He’ll be in the lineup tomorrow to help fill in for Everett’s banged-up forward corps, as well as give the coaches a chance to evaluate whether to bring him back after the Royals’ season ends.
One other note. Forward Paul Van de Velde’s shoulder injury turned out to not be that serious, meaning he may return by the end of the season. However, since it’s a shoulder injury he’ll need to heal completely before getting back into the lineup. He’s considered week to week.
