Baby taken to hospital after report that infant was shaken

LYNNWOOD — A two-week-old baby was rushed to a hospital Friday night after police got a call saying the baby had been shaken.
The baby was taken to Seattle Children’s Hospital after police received a report about 9 p.m. that the baby had been shaken, Lynnwood Police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
After a medical examination, the baby was placed in protective custody, Sessions said. Police questioned and released the baby’s mother.
The incident happened at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of 168th Street SW.
Detectives continued to investigate Saturday.
