Sorry, that was my attempt to type with frozen fingers immediately after coming inside from today’s practice. I’m pretty sure it was only a week ago we were standing out there on a 70-degree blue-sky day, but that sure felt like a distant memory today as the Huskies practiced outside despite the wet and chilly weather.

Anyway, enough complaining.

There was a bit of injury news today, as reserve offensive tackle Skyler Fancher went down with some sort of right leg injury and had to be helped off the field, where he was later put in a cart. D’Andre Goodwin, who has been out with a hamstring injury, returned to practice today, only to pull up lame again. Steve Sarkisian said Goodwin will be out at least until Friday.

Freshman tailback Demitrius Bronson got the bulk of the carries with the No. 1 offense, and had a few of the day’s offensive highlights, including a run that might have been a 92-yard touchdown had it not been blown dead after he gained 20 yards or so.

That run came as the team was practicing running plays back up near the goal line. The No. 1 defense came up with two safeties, one each by Cameron Elisara and Daniel Te’o-Nesheim, both tackled Willie Griffin in the end zone.

Also worth noting is that cornerback Justin Glenn, a Kamiak grad, spent most of practice working with the No. 1 defense. Glenn, who redshirted last year, has primarly been working with the No. 2 defense before today.

TB Terrance Dailey, OL Allen Carroll and LB Bradly Roussel were all absent from practice, and Sarkisian said their absences were because of academic issues.
