ArtSplash dashed

The Greater Everett Community Foundation has canceled its ArtSplash event because of a lack of enrollment, the foundation announced Tuesday.

Only eight people had purchased tickets for the Saturday evening event by Tuesday morning, said Maddy Metzger-Utt, executive director of the foundation. She said in an e-mail there are no immediate plans to reschedule it.

The event intended to offer ticketholders a sampling of work from local artists and food from local restaurants. Tickets were $50 for adults 26 or older.

The evening would have included demonstrations by a painter and a glass artist, a performance by the Northwest Savoyards and food from Terracotta Red, Smashed Tomatoes and Marimba.
