Two hospitalized after Highway 9 collision

LAKE STEVENS — A pregnant woman and another person were rushed to a hospital Monday afternoon after a high-speed car crash.

Medics about 2 p.m. were called to the scene of a two-car crash at the intersection of Highway 9 and 20th Street SE, said Travis Hots, battalion chief at the Lake Stevens Fire Department.

A pregnant passenger suffered serious injuries, and medics drove her to a hospital along with the driver of that car.

Four people who were in the other vehicle were treated and released at the scene.
