Due to a scheduling conflict, our featured home this week is not new construction but a resale property.

This two-story home was built in 1997 and has three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a detached two-car garage.

It was built in 1997 and is on a 3,920 square-feet lot in the Foothills development in Monroe.

In addition to the garage, which is accessed from a rear alley, the property has exposed aggregate RV parking and an expansive cedar deck overlooking a fully fenced, private back yard.

The home’s entry is open to the second level and is covered with oak flooring that extends throughout much of the main floor.

A formal dining room is positioned to the immediate right. The room has crown molding and an oversized window facing the street.

The remainder of the main living floor includes an island-design kitchen, informal dining nook, family room, powder room, and laundry closet.

Kitchen features include a granite tile center island, laminate countertops, oak paneled cabinets with crown molding and plant shelves, and a smooth-top electric range.

The informal dining nook separates the kitchen from the family room, and has a sliding glass door that opens to the deck.

The family room’s focal point is a gas fireplace with wood surround and ceramic tile hearth and border.

Plush carpeting, radius corners and a large window complete the room.

Powder room appointments include a single vanity with laminate top, hardwood flooring and full mirror.

The home’s second level consists of a bedroom suite and two additional bedrooms that are served by a full bathroom.

The suite’s spacious bedroom includes an area that could be utilized as a small sitting or TV alcove or accommodate a desk for a small home office.

Features of the suite’s bathroom include a single vanity topped with laminate, mirror mounted on three angled walls, built-in medicine cabinet with mirrored face, and a faux white tile fiberglass shell shower/tub combination with frosted privacy glass enclosure.

The remaining two bedrooms are average in size and are completed with six-panel sliding doors enclosing standard closets, frosted/fluted light fixtures, windows with mini-blind coverings, and phone jacks.

Completing the home is a second full bath trimmed with a single vanity topped with laminate, an oversized mirror and a shower/tub combination with faux white tile fiberglass surround.
