Edmonds: Observe Memorial Day at cemetery
The public is invited to Edmonds Memorial Cemetery’s 27th annual Memorial Day Observance at 11 a.m. Monday at 820 15th St. SW. Mayor Gary Haakenson will speak and American Sign Language translation will be provided.
The one-hour event will take place rain or shine. Limited seating is available, and guests are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs. Refreshments will be served after the program and visitors are invited to stroll the cemetery grounds.
The cemetery has more than 400 veterans interred. Those graves will be marked with a white cross and a U.S. flag.
Everett: Bayside Neighborhood Association meets tonight
The Bayside Neighborhood Association is scheduled to meet at 6:30 tonight at the Everett Public Library’s auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave.
A Kimberly-Clark Co. representative is scheduled talk about the mill on the waterfront and answer residents’ questions.
Craig Parker is scheduled to talk about his experience restoring his house and getting it placed on the city’s register of historic places.

Lake Stevens: Events planned for Memorial Day
Two Memorial Day services are scheduled for Monday in the Lake Stevens area.
The first is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the downtown Lake Stevens War Memorial, 1808 124th Ave. NE.
The service includes lowering all flags to half-staff, a speaker, reading the names engraved on the War Memorial, and the playing of taps.
The second is planned for noon at the Machias Cemetery, 12th Street SE and 135th Avenue SE. The service includes a 21-gun salute and the playing of taps.
American Legion Post 181 and its newly chartered Women’s Auxiliary plans to raise money for community programs by selling handmade poppies from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at several locations around Lake Stevens.
Mukilteo: Presbyterians plan salad luncheon
Mukilteo Presbyterian Church offers a spring salad luncheon at from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. It’s planned for 4514 84th St. SW. Lunch is $6 and all are welcome to join Ruth Circle for a meal.
Snohomish: Glacier Peak High plans cultural fair
Glacier Peak High School plans a cultural fair from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Glacier Peak Commons, 7401 144th Place SE. Students plan booths from more than a dozen countries, music and activities. It’s free and open to the public.
