Crews still search Sauk River for missing fisherman

DARRINGTON — Rescue crews on Sunday searched for a fisherman missing on the Sauk River since Saturday.

The man, 36, was last seen about 4 p.m. Saturday, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Kathi Lang said. He was overdue from his fly fishing trip. The man’s fishing partner reported him missing about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Search and rescue crews continued scouting the area into the late hours of Sunday. Horseback teams and a helicopter were used in the search, Lang said.
