Sultan: Weigh in on industrial park plan
Business owners and residents are encouraged to attend a discussion of the city’s investment in an industrial park at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the fire station, 304 Adler St., Sultan.
Discussion will focus on private development at the industrial park, which lies north and south of U.S. 2 between Sultan Basin Road and Rice Road. The City Council may consider revising its master plan for the area based on feedback at the meeting.

Marysville: School funding forum to include legislators
A school funding forum with state legislators is scheduled for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Marysville School District board room, 4220 80th St. NE. So far, six legislators have committed to attending the forum.
Plans call for the legislators to answer moderated audience questions. At the end of the forum, people in the audience are expected to have an opportunity to provide brief comment or testimony. Everyone is welcome.

Lynnwood: Auction to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters will hold its annual Dream Builders Auction on Saturday at the Lynnwood Convention Center, 3711 196th St. SW.
Seattle television personality John Curley will serve as auctioneer for the event, which raises money for the organization’s mentoring program.

Mill Creek: City asks, would you join a community garden?
The city of Mill Creek is considering establishing a community garden if enough residents are interested. The garden would include 60-square-foot plots available for annual rent of about $50. City officials hope to have the garden in place by spring.

The Mill Creek Citizens Patrol Booster Club will hold a car wash and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mill Creek City Hall, 15728 Main St.
Island County: Help fill out vacancies on housing panels
Island County commissioners are looking for people to fill four positions on the Island County Housing Advisory Board and one position on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.
