Bantam draft preview: Mock draft

The first mock draft for Thursday’s bantam draft has arrived, and it comes from scout Tyler Neisz via the Saskatoon StarPhoenix.
Neisz, who works for hockeyprospect.com, knows his business. Last year his first round was pretty accurate, particularly in the first half of the round. On Everett’s two first rounders he missed Nicholas Walters by just one spot, predicting him to go eighth overall (he went ninth), and Neisz nailed Seth Jones at 12th overall. However, his list diverged from the actual draft during the second half of the round, so I wouldn’t put too much stock in his prediction for Everett at 18th overall this year. However, it is interesting he had Everett going well off the board by taking a player ranked 49th overall in hockeyprospect.com’s rankings. That’s the only pick he has that’s very far off the rankings, so you have to wonder if he knows something.
