Clever birds
Learn about crows and ravens at a presentation by John Marzluff, professor of wildlife science at the University of Washington and co-author of “In the Company of Crows and Ravens.”
It’s at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Adopt A Stream Foundation’s NW Stream Center, 600 128th St. SE in Everett.

Get tested for hepatitis: Free hepatitis testing will be available today to people who are at risk of the disease. The tests will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Suite 208 at the Health District’s Everett office, 3020 Rucker Ave.
The tests require a drop of blood from a person’s fingertip.

Help build a playground: A mountain of bark has been delivered, post holes are waiting, tool sheds and food tents have been set up — all for a new Camano Island playground, which will be built through Sunday at Freedom Park.
Workers and tools are needed at the park, which is at 578 SW Camano Drive at Terry’s Corner. E-mail theresa@s-caf.org for information on volunteering and work shifts.
Fire station festivities: Snohomish County Fire District 1 celebrates the grand opening of Fire Station 10, 3922 156th St. SW, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Activities begin with a dedication ceremony and flag-raising featuring the Fire District 1 Honor Guard and the Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums.
