EVERETT — Police are searching for a 16-year-old who may have witnessed the fatal accident that killed Heather Trickler on the U.S. 2 trestle almost a year ago.
“We tentatively ID’ed him,” Washington State Patrol Sgt. Mike Marken said. “We’re trying to locate him right now.”
Marquise Breaux-Banks was walking with Trickler, 15, on May 30, 2009, the night she died. His image was caught on a homeowner’s surveillance camera after the accident, as he sought help for Trickler.
Police want to question Breaux-Banks to see if he witnessed the accident itself, a hit-and-run that remains under investigation. Detectives believe the teen is bouncing around the greater Seattle area, Marken said.
“He’s just a witness to the collision,” Marken said.
