Play as your favorite Silvertips in NHL 11

Exciting news for video game players as EA announced that major junior teams will be included in NHL 11 when it’s released later this year. That means the Everett Silvertips are coming to a game console near you.

NHL 11 will feature all 60 CHL teams, including team logos and arenas, player likenesses and names, the ability to play in the Memorial Cup, and the inclusion of juniors in Be A Pro mode.

I’ve been hearing this possibility of this for a while, and this makes it official. So now the fans have the opportunity to play as their favorite Everett players. However, the idea of the players being able to play as themselves — as well as the inevitable complaints about their own player ratings — makes me shudder.
