DUVALL — The Washington Transportation Department has inspected a half dozen bridges in east King County and found no damage after a small Tuesday morning earthquake near Duvall.
Spokeswoman Kris Olsen said inspectors looked at six bridges in the Snoqualmie Valley area.
The University of Washington reported the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network recorded a 3.4 magnitude quake at 5:21 a.m., about four miles deep between Duvall and Carnation.
A U.S. Geological Survey website shows the quake was felt from Snohomish to North Bend.
Seattle eastside suburban residents told TV stations the quake sounded like thunder or a door slamming, and the shaking felt like a train or truck rumbling by.
