EDMONDS — Meadowdale scored 27 unanswered points in the second half as the Mavericks defeated Shorecrest in the Wesco 3A opener for both teams. Meadowdale gained 258 yards on the ground. Mavericks quarterback Nathan Ball ran for two touchdowns and threw for a third.
