Prep girls soccer: King’s 5, Granite Falls 1

SHORELINE — The Knights took down Granite Falls in their Cascade Conference game on Saturday behind a hat trick from Anna Diede. Diede scored her first of three goals in the 17th minute and Beth Stella added another in the 33rd minute to give King’s (9-5 league, 10-5-1 overall) a 2-0 lead entering halftime. Diede added another goal in the 54th minute before Granite Falls managed to get on the board a minute later when Katie Cashman scored. Diede’s final goal in the 64th minute made it 4-1 and Christina McCormick capped the Knights’ scoring in the 78 minute. Allie Monea was in net for King’s.
