Prep wrestling: Scoop Invite

MILL CREEK — Bryan Stringfellow (140 pounds), Ben Bowen (145) and Adam Nijem (152) all won individual wrestling titles for Jackson High School on Saturday at the Scoop Invite, but the Timberwolves couldn’t topple Shelton for the overall title. Shelton earned 192.5 points, besting Jackson (146) and Bishop Blancet (94.5) in the meet. Meadowdale’s Dustin Diemond earned a 6-0 decision for the championship of the 135-pound class. Archbishop Murphy’s Brandon Todd took first at 171 pounds while Edmonds-Woodway wrestlers Collin Natterstad (160) and George Johanson (285) also earned individual titles.
