Tips on TV

First off, Ryan Harrison has officially joined up with the team. Harrison, acquired at Monday’s trade deadline from Medicine Hat, had a lengthy travel day Wednesday that delayed his arrival. However, he’s now settled in and he practiced with the team for the first time this afternoon.
Now onto the television news. FSN’s 2011 WHL broadcast schedule begins Friday, and Everett is part of the opening game. Those of you who aren’t headed to Kent can tune in at 7:30 Friday night to watch the Tips play the Seattle Thunderbirds. I’m actually going to have a small part in the broadcast myself, as I’ve been asked to be part of an interview during one of the intermissions.
Friday’s game is one of 10 that are being broadcast by FSN the remainder of the season, four of which feature Everett. Here’s the entire schedule:
Fri., Jan. 14 — Everett at Seattle, 7:30 p.m.
Sat., Jan. 15 — Kootenay at Spokane, 10 p.m. (delayed)
Fri., Jan. 28 — Portland at Tri-City, 7 p.m.
Wed., Feb. 2 — Everett at Kamloops, 10 p.m. (delayed)
Fri., Feb. 4 — Spokane at Tri-City, 7 p.m.
Fri., Feb. 18 — Seattle at Vancouver, 7:30 p.m.
Fri., Feb. 25 — Portland at Everett, 7:30 p.m.
Fri., Mar. 4 — Seattle at Portland, 7 p.m.
Tue., Mar. 8 — Tri-City at Kamloops, 7 p.m.
Fri., Mar. 18 — Everett at Portland, 7 p.m.
I’m sure that for the games taking place in Canada, FSN is picking up the Shaw feed. Just one television game takes place in Everett, on Feb. 25 against Portland, so get prepared to make plenty of noise that night.
