BOTHELL — More than one team benefited from Lynnwood’s 56-34 Wesco 3A league win over Mountlake Terrace in a girls basketball game on Monday night at Mountlake Terrace High School.

The 22-point win moves Lynnwood (9-2 league, 14-3 overall) to a 1/2 game ahead of idle Shorecrest for No. 1 in the league standings, but Meadowdale, Everett and Glacier Peak all clinched spots to the 3A District 1 tournament with the Royals’ victory on Monday.

Arsenia Ivanov hit three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 11 points and Mokun Fajemisin and Meghan Cross added 10 points apiece as Lynnwood built a lead and cruised to the win.

The Royals made 24 field goals, including seven 3-pointers, as opposed to 14 field goals for the Hawks (2-9, 4-13), according to Mountlake Terrace head coach David Brophy.

Freshman guard Jasmin Edwards added nine points for Lynnwood, which dropped two league games to Shorecrest earlier this season.

Mindy James led Mountlake Terrace with nine points and Taylor Smith added eight for the Hawks.
