National Lacrosse League legend Gary Gait announced his retirement on Saturday to focus on coaching.

Gait is the league’s second-leading scorer following an 18-year playing career.

“The franchise has been great to me. They asked me to play and I did, and now it’s time to focus on coaching the Syracuse Women and the Hamilton Nationals.” – Gary Gait

Inside Lacrosse has a season preview of the Johns Hopkins University men’s lacrosse team.

As you might have seen, Stealth draw man Jamison Koesterer joined the team to pursue a coaching career.

On Thursday, the lacrosse community gathered to honor Tyler Lucas, an 18-year-old lacrosse player who died in a three-car accident earlier in the week.
