Top-ranked local wrestlers
The following area team and individuals are ranked No. 1 in the state in their respective classifications, according to WashingtonWrestlingReport.com as of Tuesday, going into this weekend’s Mat Classic state wrestling championships.
Class 4A boys
Team: Lake Stevens Vikings.
Individuals: Lake Stevens’ Steven Walkley (140 pounds), Marysville-Pilchuck’s Demitri Robinson (145 pounds), Lake Stevens’ Andrew King (152 pounds), Mariner’s Alex Coffman (160 pounds).
Class 2A boys
Individual: Cedarcrest’s Cody Paxman (152 pounds).
