EDMONDS — Edmonds-Woodway got out to an early lead, scoring three of its six runs in the first inning en route to the win. Warriors’ Alex Hull started off the game with a single, later scoring on an Austin Jones’ single. A balk and two passed balls by Meadowdale (0-1 overall) led to two more E-W runs in the inning. Hull finished the game 3-for-3 with a double, while Meadowdale’s Tyler McGuire, who didn’t start the game, was 1-for-1 with a home run and two RBI. Derek Callahan (1-0) pitched five innings for E-W (1-0) and had 10 strikeouts, giving up only one hit, two walks, and one earned run.
