Prep softball: Monroe 5, Glacier Peak 2

MONROE — Glacier Peak (1-1 overall) got a lead-off home run in the first inning of the nonleague game from Alexis Michael. Monroe’s (1-1) Monroe’s Devan Larsen and Alyssa Egan hit back-to-back doubles in the first and fifth innings, Egan finishing the game with two RBI and Larsen with one. Their two RBI in the fifth were part of a four-run inning for Monroe. Egan was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts, two runs and four walks. Glacier Peak’s Olivia Wenzel finished 2-for-3 with two singles.
