Prep baseball: Lakewood 9, South Whidbey 1

LANGLEY — Andrew Bean threw four innings, giving up one run to carry Lakewood to a league victory against South Whidbey. Lakewood’s (3-0 league, 3-0 conference) offensive onslaught did the rest. Leftfielder Zach Smith went 3-for-3 while teammate Lucas Harkins was 3-for-5 for the contest as the team piled up nine runs on the Falcons. Sophomore Jack Lewis led South Whidbey (0-3 league, 0-4 overall) by going 2-for-2.
