MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The Hawks used a two-run seventh inning to eke out a their first Wesco 3A victory. Rene Bos (2-1) scattered four hits over seven innings and whiffed six Thunderbirds. After being shut out for the first five innings, Shorewood (1-1 league, 2-2 overall) took a one-run lead thanks to a two-run sixth. Maaddy Kristjanson saved the day for Terrace (1-0, 2-1) with a walk-off two-RBI double. Mindy James batted 3-for-4 for and Hannah Baisch collected a pair of hits to pace the Hawks
