Prep baseball: Lakewood 18, South Whidbey 3

LANGLEY — Lakewood (5-0 league and overall) scored 12 runs in the sixth inning thanks to four South Whidbey errors and a grand slam by Lucas Harkins. The big sixth inning turned a close 6-3 game into a rout. Harkins also doubled, scored three runs and drove in five. Cody Blount got the win on the mound and also doubled and homered and Kevin Harnden had two doubles for Lakewood. Riley Newman and Aaron Kerman each doubled for South Whidbey (0-5, 0-7).
