Prep softball: Granite Falls 11, Sultan 8

GRANITE FALLS — Granite Falls (1-1 league, 1-1 overall) got a great offensive performance from Caitlyn Munce, who went 4-for-4 with a triple and four runs scored. Freshman pitcher Kimberly Martinez (1-0) came into her first varsity game in the fifth inning and ended the game with a strikeout with the bases loaded to get the win. Sultan (0-3, 0-4) had 10 hits, let by Rachel Kirpatrick, who had a triple, and Courtney Morris, who had a double. Granite Falls finished with 15 hits.
