Prep boys soccer: Monroe 2, Stanwood 0

MONROE — Monroe notched its first league win in the tough Wesco North division behind the two goals by Omar Macias. His first score came in the 30th minute off a Nick Manke shot attempt that was deflected. In the 50th minute, Macias received a cross from Quinn Coan to get his second goal. Goalkeeper Jose Perez Jr. got the shutout for Monroe (1-3 league, 1-4 overall) and Nate Schoen was in goal for Stanwood (0-4, 1-4).
