Game 2, Everett at Portland: lineup notes

Published 4:06 pm Sunday, March 27, 2011

Everett scratches: Simpson, Walters, Giebel, Cumiskey.

Notes: Still no Kent Simpson as Everett’s No. 1 goaltender remains out with his sprained ankle. Luke Siemens gets the start again in goal. One change up front as winger Jari Erricson moves into the lineup in place of center Tyler Giebel. Center Clayton Cumiskey remains out with a concussion, defenseman Nick Walters remains a healthy scratch.

Portland scratches: Hanson, Ponich, Gabriel, Petan, Trott, Ius/Eviston.

Notes: More-or-less the same lineup for the Winterhawks — if winger Pearce Eviston gets the nod ahead of winger Matt Ius it will be exactly the same lineup. Defenseman Brett Ponich (knee) and winger Oliver Gabriel (shoulder) are out for the entire series. Mac Carruth, who had a shutout in Game 1, is between the pipes again.
