Prep boys soccer: Coupeville 8, Granite Falls 3

COUPEVILLE — Hat tricks from both Ben Hayes and Grayson Knott highlighted Coupeville’s Cascade Conference win. Hayes scored on a free kick in the 10th minute, on a Brandon Wilsey assist in the 18th minute and scored another in the 31st. Grayson Knott scored in the third minute on a Hayes assist, in the 20th minute on an assist from Nathan Lamb and in the 22nd on a Nevin Miranda assist. Granite Falls’ Drew Chebert scored in the 14th and Bobby Collinge added the other two goals in the 62nd and 71st minutes. Isaac Wacker and Nic Anthony shared time in goal for Coupeville (4-8 league, 5-8-1 overall). The Granite Falls (0-12, 0-13-1) keeper was Joey Best.
