Get a move on
Get Movin,’ the summer program offered throughout Snohomish County that provides prizes for kids who are active this summer, kicks off Saturday. Simultaneous events are planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alderwood mall in Lynnwood, at Allen Creek Elementary in Marysville, at the Everett Mall, and the YMCA in Monroe.
The goal is for kids and their families to be physically active 30 minutes a day, at least five days a week, all summer long. Some 3,000 people participated in the program last year.
