The Rory Price Memorial is planned by The American Speed Association/Northwest Sprintcar Racing Association on Saturday at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe.

This is the third stop of the 2011 Championship season and the sixth running of the Rory Price Memorial.

Price, who lived in Seattle, started racing professionally at age 16 and could be found in most any type of open-wheeled car on dirt or asphalt. He died of injuries sustained in a testing accident on March 31, 2006, at the Evergreen Speedway. Close friends and relatives made a commitment to honor Price, thus the RPM was born.

Proceeds benefit his 6-year-old daughter.
